“Women are the first environment. We all come from a woman.” ~ Katsi Cook, Mohawk Midwife

GIVE LIGHT brings the voices of indigenous midwives to the maternity care dialogue. In penetrating interviews, indigenous midwives from five continents discuss the benefits and challenges to their profession. In their native settings, these compelling women relate their life stories with confidence, humor, and timely messages of faith in the natural capabilities of the women that they attend.

GIVE LIGHT shares the benefits of traditional midwifery that are often left out of modern maternity care options. The documentary explores our modern world rite of passage in childbirth. (run-time 55 minutes)

Please note, this event is for at-home viewing only. It is not permitted to stream it on social media. If you are interested in hosting a screening for your group, company or organization, please get in touch.
