Welcome, member of the Sodexo family! Sodexo's Organization for disAbilities Resources (SOAR) is excited to share an award-winning story of employment possibilities and community inclusion with you.
This programming — a screening of the film Hearts of Glass AND an interactive panel discussion — is brought to you by SOAR in honor of National Disability Employment Awareness Month.
Sodexo's Organization for disAbilities Resources (SOAR) raises awareness, provides education and resources, and proactively provides outreach to create a culture that embraces, values and fully utilizes persons with disabilities. SOAR enriches the communities and clients they serve and positively contributes to Sodexo’s growth and long-term success.
Hearts of Glass follows the tumultuous first 15 months of operation of Vertical Harvest Farms (VHF) of Jackson, Wyoming. This state-of-the-art hydroponic farm provides meaningful employment for people with disabilities in an inclusive setting.
The film weaves the story of VHF’s launch with the personal journeys of employees with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Plants and people grow together in this intimate portrait of innovation, inclusion, and impact.
— The film is presented with descriptive audio and closed captioning (English and Spanish). Descriptive audio provides a more accessible experience for blind and low-vision viewers. —
You can stream the film on this website from October 10th at 9 AM (ET) through October 24th at midnight (ET). Feel free to watch it with friends or family. Don't forget to join us for the panel discussion on Tuesday, October 17th from 3-4 PM (ET).
