About

Three families try a 'digital screen fast'–removing all screens and background television to help their children with autism related behaviors. They discover remarkable benefits, as well as a global movement to raise awareness around screen time and autism.

There are two parts to this special event:

  • The documentary will be available for streaming from October 8th - November 16th.
  • A Virtual Event with a Live Q&A with researchers, parents and journalists will be hosted at 12pm EST on November 15th.

A link to the Zoom Webinar can be found [here] (https://us06web.zoom.us/j/83369451888), and will be shared by email upon registration.

The Film

While the causes of autism remain controversial, research indicates as much as 40-50% of the variation of autism can be attributed to environmental factors.

A STONE UNTURNED explores the latest research around a possible environmental trigger for autism and autism related symptoms, specifically excessive screen time exposure for children under the age of 3 years.

Our Mission

A STONE UNTURNED was produced in collaboration with a team of clinicians, autism researchers, early interventionists and journalists. We believe more research and awareness around screen time can help empower all parents.

“I saw screen removal and increased social interaction provide huge progress for a young child with red flags for ASD. As a mother and clinician I must share this with the world.” - Lori Frome M.Ed.

By interviewing parents from around the world, we are sharing how digital screen fasts can help children overcome language delays, attention disorders, social withdrawal and other symptoms related to autism.

Not just a film about autism, the film shares practical steps we can all try, for building healthy screen time habits and finding joy in everyday life with family.
