In Honor of Fathers

In Support of A Cure

Welcome to Wine, Women, & Dementia's The Longest Day Fundraiser, Friday, June 14 (Father's Day Weekend) through Thursday, June 20 (The Longest Day).

I am proud to offer a week of online access to the dementia family caregiver documentary, Wine, Women, & Dementia, to honor fathers everywhere, celebrate family caregivers, and raise funds and awareness for the care, support, and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association.

The film was inspired by the family caregivers I met during my family's dementia journey with my mother, Gloria, who lived with vascular dementia. In my time as caregiver to my mom, I came to know other caregivers online who became my friends, my lifelines, even though we had never met in person. After my mother passed in March of 2021 I decided to take a road trip like no other to meet my caregiver friends in person because until there's a cure, there's community, and they were a crucial part of mine.

"The documentary WW&D was awesome. What resonated most with me was the smiles, the laughter, the feeling of celebration....At the end of the film, I was left with a desire for more."

~ Audience Feedback

Wine, Women, & Dementia will be available online from Friday, June 14 (Father's Day Weekend) until Thursday, June 20 (The Longest Day).

Get your $5 ticket, and add an additional donation if you are able. 75% of each ticket and donation goes directly to the Alzheimer's Association (the other 25% covers payment and platform fees).

"Wow, wow, wow is all I have for you ma'am. Your film is phenomenal...I've yet to see any other anything display the raw realness of this disease...No one has a right answer when it comes to dementia, but your movie gave me hope in knowing that we aren't fighting alone."

Will you join the fight with a dementia film that celebrates family caregivers?

Alzheimer’s disease has touched so many lives, but you can help. With your donation families can receive support on their Alzheimer’s journey, promising research can advance toward a future without Alzheimer’s, and lives can — and will — be changed.

Your donation means so much, to myself and to all those affected by the disease. On behalf of more than 6 million Americans living with Alzheimer’s and over 11 million caregivers — thank you.

Cheers!

Kitty Norton
