UNBELIZEABLUE is an upcoming documentary that follows a multigenerational group of inspiring women leaders in Belize striving to protect the world's second largest barrier reef system. The country is unique in that virtually all of the organizations involved in protecting its marine environment and associated livelihoods are led by women.
Belizeans have taken bold measures to protect their marine resources, but many challenges remain as the country balances conservation with the need to provide for its growing population. Will Belize show the world how to coexist and thrive with the natural environment?
The UNBELIZEABLUE filmmakers have traveled to Belize on three occasions and spent 40 days filming across the country this year. To give you an idea of where we're going with the story, we've organized this sneak peek of our work-in-progress.

We're honored to host this virtual event with special guest The Nature Conservancy (TNC), a global environmental nonprofit working to create a world where people and nature can thrive.
Please join us on Tuesday, December 13th, at 5pm PT (7pm Belize, 8pm ET) for a candid chat with Julie Robinson, Program Director for The Nature Conservancy in Belize, along with filmmakers Phil Karp and Eladio Arvelo. We'll discuss marine conservation efforts in Belize and answer all your questions about UNBELIZEABLUE.
